Recently, a shotcrete robot independently developed by CITIC HIC Kaicheng Intelligence Equipment Co., Ltd was put into operation at 3,900 meters in the main return air tunnel of a Shaanxi Energy coal mine. The robot features 3D tunnel modeling capabilities and can autonomously plan shotcrete paths, enabling intelligent shotcrete support operations in underground tunnels.
The shotcrete robot integrates a robot chassis, a shotcrete manipulator, a visual perception system, and an intelligent control system. The shotcrete manipulator has an operating range of 8.2m x 6.2m, and its crawler-type travel mechanism allows for stable operation on 15° slopes, meeting the requirements for shotcrete coverage in rectangular tunnels.

Before the spraying operation, the system first collects on-site spatial data through laser scanning to generate a three-dimensional tunnel model, and intelligently plans the spraying path. The spraying uniformity and forming quality are improved compared to manual spraying.

At present, the company has launched a number of execution robots, including auxiliary transport robots, belt foreign body sorting robots, auxiliary installation robots, etc. The products are used in large enterprises such as Longmei Group, Jining Energy, and Huainan Mining. By replacing manual operations in high-risk scenarios, they improve the safety and intelligence level of mine production.
